Lets start with our darling 9ICE-ENERGY After gonogo aso and street credibility , I do not think any of his other songs have done it for me, ofcourse,he has his own style and fans but to me this video right here is just VERY DISAPPOINTING.
AHN AHN!! (I TIRE FOR THE VIDEO)...as in seriously boredom wanted to finish me.
watch it first before I continue
what do you think??
I mean two "sexy " girls in a NON-MECHANIC OUTFIT in a supposed mechanic workshop(or whatever its called) filled with flashy cars?? for 3mins??? AHN AHN!!
You know I was actually getting tired of the regular club-like videos but please this one is just horrible, I would have preferred a club-like video ANYTIME TO THIS. Even the babe holding spanner (abi what was she holdin) was bored doing the same thing over and over and over again.
MY VERDICT: a clean (over photoshoped..lol) video with no idea, no message or hint to what the song means and contrary to the title ..IT LACKS ENERGY!!!
NEXT IS: DAT NIGGA RAW- O CHUKWU
Nigga Raw definitely has his own style of music. To me, its a combination of old school, hiphop and ofcourse igbo roots. I have not hated any of his songs that I've heard and I do not think I'VE GOT ANY HATRED FOR THIS ONE EITHER.
I mean the director, bobby hai, did a brilliant job. It was funny, cool, clean(without looking like they over polished it) and I enjoyed it.
Anyways, see the video for your self.
what do you think??? This is really good. all I can say is "anything I be today, O CHUKWU"
See daddy showkey feeling cool with himself (carry go jare..lol)
The point of the song is not lost, even if I do not understand Igbo, the video gives me a hint and makes me love the song.
I laughed when he said "I be blues 4 life, I dey support Enyimba" (no be lie!! lol)
MY VERDICT: I enjoyed the video and the song. Good job Bobby Hai AND Dat Nigga raw.
Anyways, this is my own opinion
what do you think?
which song/video made more sense to you??
MUCH LUV,
DANGEL EYEZ
Yeah Dami I enjoyed O Chukwu more but it takes nothing away from the impeccability of ENERGY. I can't really compare them since comparing rap music to 'trado-R'n'B' will be like comparing oranges and apple. At the end of the day the winner is Nigerian Music industry.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you got the concept, if I can help more ' O Chukwu' means 'its God' whatever I am today 'its God'. And the 'I dey sypport Enyimba' line is from the fact that he lived in Aba, as me myself grew up there. He must have mentioned Enyimba for 3 reasons I reckon (instead of a foreign club) 1. To endear himself to people of the area more and increase his fan base in the South East. 2. To show that we don't really need to be Western oriented to love life, we can still enjoy what is back home. 3. That he indeed loves the Club.
Have a nice day :)
thanks for your comment mitterand and I'm grateful for the explanation.
ReplyDeletewell about energy being without fault, i have to say that yes its a clean video just like every other video coming out of naija now(which is good :D ) but it just lacks concept(which is very important).
both songs are not bad tho...and yea they have their own styles.
thanks again
much luv
#Dat1dey ose O chukwu jor ooo
ReplyDeleteDammy am definately with you on this....Over polished video without a message, talking about 9ice that is
ReplyDeleteDat Nigga raw's video was fresh and made more sense
