Nigeria's super eagle coach Samson Siasia FIRED

Siasia's contract came under threat as soon as the Nigeria's national team, the Super Eagles,  failed to qualify for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
The executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ratified the decision to sack the coach on Friday 28/10/2011

HIAN!! na wa o. LOL.
I know that match really pained me o, it was very painful to watch but is sacking Siasia the solution??
I can't say much on this so help me out here.. is this a wise decision by NFF?

THE HAIR SALON TO LOVE -> NATURES GENTLE TOUCH HAIR INSTITUTE

             This is who I am:
I find something good that I love, I definitely have to share and trust me when I say you'll most definitely love whatever I share.
EHEN!! last year, I had a problem with my hair. It was breaking seriously because of some factors(e.g weather) where I was studying and I had VEXED and decided to go natural which isn't a bad thing. The only problem was that I could not bring myself to cutting any part of my hair(you don't want to see me on low cut).
When I came to Nigeria last year July for the summer holiday, my friend introduced me to a salon she felt could help my hair. At that time, I was ready to relax my hair and be good to it so I decided to try it out and oh boy! was i grateful.

NATURES GENTLE TOUCH is the name of the salon
and I have been religiously going there for anything that has to do with my hair for more than a year now.
They do not fix weavon there or do ghana braids and its likes. They are just dedicated to taking care of the hair God has given us and I love them :D.

Natures Gentle Touch Hair Institute

Plot 209, Muri Okunola Street

Victoria Island, Lagos.

Phone: +234-1-4627442

Email: info@naturesgentletouchinstitute.com

Relaxer- 1000naira
washing(which includes deep conditioning,steaming,straightening/setting,trimming if needed and proper styling)- 1000naira with their product and 1500 if you come without their product. They'll use their product for you, I am not sure they'll agree to use any other product.
relaxing(which includes everything washing includes) - 2000naira and i think student price is 1500naira
If you are going there for the first time, one of the hair specialist will have a look at you hair (forgotten the term for it) and then tell you which products of theirs to buy.
They offer other services like dyeing and cutting hair to style but I have no idea how much those ones cost.
In my opinion, these prices are pretty cool for the services and did i mention the hair stylist takes his/her time to make your hair fab.. NO?? okay, that's like their problem. They never want to hurry o and you know some of us want everything done SHARP SHARP .lol Anyways, my friends and I have learnt to plan well as trying to rush the hair stylist hardly ever works unless of course its some serious emergency.

yes, you do not pay anything extra to get your hair styled this way.
This is me rocking my hair. I care more about a healthy looking hair than anything else and if i can achieve that then I'm so glad.

and that's it!!!
my free advert for my favorite hair salon :D
Natures Gentle touch is also the official hair salon for MTN lagos fashion and design week and I learnt they'll be at the exhibition at Eko hotel from wed-saturday from 10am-5pm.
Natures Gentle Touch
For those with natural afro, I think they work on that as well.
Well,My friend ,Joke, has a fantastic blog where she shares her natural afro secrets so you can check it out.

VIDEO OF THE CHINESE TODDLER THAT GOT RUN OVER BY TWO TRUCKS AND IGNORED BY SEVERAL PASSERS-BY

I read about this before and felt really bad but just found the video on youtube and thought I should share. I feel so bad that something as terrible as this happened. How is it possible that a toddler is hit by a bus, ignored by passers-by, later on hit by a truck  and then ignored by several passers-by. GOSH!!

"Footage is taken from a surveillance camera presented on local TV shows Yue Yue was walking in a hardware market in Foshan, Guangdong province, on Thursday, about 100 meters away from her home, when she was run over by a van at 5:26 pm.

The girl was then run over by a light-duty truck. The riders of four electric bicycles, a tricycle and three passers-by all chose to ignore her and no one at a shop close to the scene came to her aid.

Seven minutes after she was first hit by the van, a 57-year-old rag collector noticed the girl and moved her to the curb. The woman then tried talking to the shopkeeper but received no response. When she ran from shop to shop for the identity of the girl, the rag collector was told by a number of shopkeepers to mind her own business.

She then walked into the street and a few seconds later, the girl's mother appears and rushes away with the girl.

The girl received emergency surgery in Foshan before being transferred to the General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Command of the People's Liberation Army in Guangzhou on the same day.

The incident is the latest example of passers-by acting indifferently to victims injured in crimes. In this case, some blamed the parents for letting the girl walk on the street alone. More criticized the phenomenon of people passing by without helping, caused at least in part by previous extortion attempts from the injured and their families who have sometimes tried to blame the person helping.

-------------- 16 / 10 / 2011 News Update --------------

Chinese authorities have supposedly have caught the first driver (the second is no worse in my opinion). "If she is dead, I may pay only about 20,000 yuan ($3,125). But if she is injured, it may cost me hundreds of thousands yuan," said the driver over the phone to the media, before he gave himself up to the police.

The girl has been pronounced "brain dead" by doctors and remains on life support in intensive care.

"She couldn't breathe on her own," said Wen Qiang, deputy director of the ICU department.

The most optimistic estimate is that the girl will remain in a vegetative state on life support.

-------------- 17 / 10 / 2011 News Update --------------

Police have detained both drivers.

-------------- 17 / 10 / 2011 News Update --------------

Unconfirmed reports that the toddler died on 16 / 10 / 2011:
"...doctors said the girl died yesterday from severe brain injuries she had suffered in the accident." "

-copied from the info attached to the youtube video

its indeed a wicked world and according to the statement made by the driver, he is sure hoping she dies so he can be asked to pay less.
*sigh*
may her soul rest in perfect peace.

NIGERIAN BET CYPHER(MALE/FEMALE) VIDEO

The clear version of the  Naija BET cypher is out now. I love rap to an extent , love the way good rappers play with words and then make u scream "wooo!!" lol. Anyways, those of you that haven't seen it, here it is - the male & female versions in one.
KUDOS!! to IBKSpaceshipBoi (winner of don jazzy's enigma challenge)who made the beat.

I respect all of them on the cypher, they all tried but I have my favourites.
Male cypher: Mode9!!!!!!! yes BOSS :D , MI then XO did it for me in that order and Naeto C is my least favourite.
Actually, there were some people that were not sure about XO's lyrics in this cypher including me but I found his lyrics as one of the comments for this video on youtube and I found it interesting but the thing is you have to be audible and deliver your lines well for people to get you.
oh well, thought I should share XO's lyrics with you all.
"The Outlook’s bright, that’s the Word, all I do is Excel And Casey Anthony rappers, my flow should be on the pill The Lyrical Dangote, even Aliko couldn’t get on this ‘bill’ Last year I watched this from my office – now I’m here – Surreal! Pray for me, I’m spittin’ in a sick way, and I’m (Azikwe Nnamdi) – Truth! Yeh “We Are Africans – Awoo!” But the rap crown was roaming (Roman) and so I ceased her (Caesar) – Poof! Talking ‘racks on racks on racks’? ‘Maybachs on bachs on bachs’?Not stopping ’til Fortune companies hire Blacks on Blacks

Dagrin and Amy Winehouse, RIP!
Now “Back to Black” E.T.
I B-E-T that if yo B C’s D’s (b****/baby sees these)
She will press ‘pause’ (paws) on me, like I’m E-V-E
The sickest lyricist to spit it infinite in minutes is winning would dream it like Hakeem but now like Brixton I’m “innit” (in it)
U see I sawed this beat, its now an eye sore in the I.C.U.
Buzzing ’bout who the best be(e)?
I’m all 3 … Minus 2!"
so I found this writeup and I agree with whoever put it up

"BET cypher is not about finding rhymes from nursery books. It is much about your creativity with story telling and how you can find good word plays to push it. I looked at all the cyphers and i find the Nigerian cypher the weakest(I am Nigerian lol). It just hurt that the truth is not always supported in Nigeria just the way our politicians use bias to put people to lead industries when we have world class managers everywhere in Nigeria and abroad.  If we really want to set a bench mark for hiphop in Nigeria, we should get a cue from Mode. He leads the next rapper in Nigeria with a long stretch.

Mode 9 - I got introduced to his songs by a friend who was a big fan. After hesitating at first, i decided to give it a try and that was it. For years, i have seen arguments on who tops him in Nigerian hip hop but i am ashamed to see that we Nigerians, though claim to know one or two things about rap are just plain commercial. We don't appreciate conscious music. I wonder how Asa managed to sell albums in the country.  He is straight classic and would go pound for pound with any American MC.

M.I. - On the average, he did not disappoint compared to the other guys, but i think he was trying too hard. A real hardcore rap is mostly about punchlines and fluidity rather than vocabularies. M.I's intro was good though. (Reference to Joe Budden on the Slim 2.0 cypher)....

Sauce Kid - My love for sauce kid does not go beyond rap. I just like him as a rapper and i can acknowledge his ability but he always come to most as an underperformer rather than one with no rap skills. He did not do badly on the cypher and he managed to have a story line rather than finding rhymes like others were doing...

Ice Prince - A rare combination of poor rapability and childish punchlines. NO storylines. He reminded me of some 9ice's songs who gathers adages from wherever to make a song. He DEFINITELY has no....

X.O. - To most people, he came as a disappointment on the cypher after so much hype. I really don't think he did that bad rapability wise and story lines, its just that he wasn't audible enough. There is something wrong with his accent. It came bad on that particular cypher. If he would make another cypher,....

Naeto C - I love him as a Nigerian artist, i don't think he has what it takes to go on the world stage. He is only going to be a bomb waiting to explode. He should feed us with more swag in naija and we will be appreciative of that. "

For the ladies, they all tried too and they looked really good. EVA killed it for me.. love her plenty and I just didn't get SASHA smh.. by the way, does anyone know why retta was in that video? x_x.

what do you think?

A BLOG TO LOVE -> musings of a caramel latte addict

I admire writers a lot, the way they are able to tell a story so well that I'll actually be in tears by the time I'm done reading amazes me. Well, I came across a great blog today and I just have to share it with you all as I have spent a considerable amount of time today reading posts on the blog and "musing" with the blogger.
 MUSINGS OF A CARAMEL LATTE ADDICT-> http://temiville.wordpress.com/
Photo
The blogger

She tells her stories(most on relationships and marriage) so well that you almost forget its fiction and the great part is she brings in the Word of God to help her readers understand more and learn a whole lot.
She reminds me of my brother(last born) who has suddenly become wiser than everyone in the house :D and constantly takes me to  the Bible when he is trying to make me understand some real life issues.Anyways, I found her stories amazingly true and worth reading and I hope you check it too 'cos you'll definitely find it interesting.

http://www.bellanaija.com/2010/11/10/bn-prose-the-waiting-by-temiloluwa-adebayo/ - her write up on bella naija which currently has over 170 comments. made me cry *sigh* i cry a lot, i know!!

Her top 10 most popular posts according to a wordpress feature/gadget:

I found this in one of her posts ...interesting...:
"No amount of love a man has for you can ever stop him from cheating on and mistreating you.
Only the degree of love he has for GOD can stop him from hurting you.
He treats you well as a sign of his reverence and commitment to God.
You are simply a beneficiary of his unflinching obedience to the Word of God which says,
husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church.
Therefore, you should focus on the degree of love that man has for God, not for you"

In other news, I LOVE ANDREA BOCELLI and I leave you with a great song THE PRAYER by Andrea that he performed with Celine Dion

'I have breast cancer,' reveals E! presenter Giuliana Rancic at 37

Heath battle: TV presenter Giuliana Rancic revealed she has breast cancer on the Today Show this morning
Rancic made the announcement on NBC's Today Show this morning, admitting she will undergo surgery later this week.
She said: 'Through my attempt to get pregnant through IVF, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer. It's been a shock.'
Rancic and her husband Bill were preparing to undergo a third round of IVF treatment after two failed attempts when a doctor asked her to undergo a mammogram.
She explained: 'I wasn't prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I'd been told. I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong. It was just a kick in the stomach.'

Recalling the moment she found out, Rancic said: 'I went into the hospital in L.A., when they came in to tell me, they said it pretty quickly, they just said, "I'm sorry, you have breast cancer."
'It's what you expect, but so much more, it was like, incredible instant sobbing and the world just crashed down around me. I couldn't believe it - 36 years old, no family history? I couldn't believe it.'
After her lumpectomy, Rancic will undergo six weeks of radiation therapy.
And despite her illness, Rancic is hopeful she and her husband will be able to resume IVF after her cancer treatment.
She said: 'I still want this baby ... because this baby has saved my life. I truly feel God was looking out after me... If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker.' [*pregnancy would have made the cancer spread faster*]

Supportive: The star with her husband Bill in New York on Thursday
I thank God the doctors detected it on time and I pray for her that God will see her through, give her and her husband the strength.
My heart also goes out to others fighting cancer. May God see them through and may they come out strong.

UMAR FAROUK ABDULMUTALLAB PLEADS GUILTY TO ALL 8 COUNTS AGAINST HIM INCLUDING TERRORISM

Accused: Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab will plead guilty, according to prosecutors
A Nigerian accused of trying to bomb a US-bound flight on Christmas Day 2009 has told his trial in Detroit that he is pleading guilty to all charges.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 24, told a judge he was admitting all eight counts against him, including terrorism and attempted murder.
Abdulmutallab was badly burned when a bomb sewn into his underwear failed to detonate fully, prosecutors say.
Almost 300 people were on the flight from Amsterdam to Detroit.
Abdulmutallab will be sentenced on 12 January 2012 but the BBC's Jonny Dymond, in Washington, says this is now a formality - Abdulmutallab will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Bomb: These are the remains of the underpants with the explosive used on a failed plot to blow up an airliner over Detroit on Christmas Day, 2009
picture of his burnt underwear
US Federal Judge Nancy Edmunds verified that Abdulmutallab understood his right to silence before asking him if he wished to make a plea.
"Do I understand correctly that you wish to waive that right [in order] to plead guilty to all the charges in the indictment?" she asked.
"Yes," the defendant replied.
He told the court the bomb was a "blessed weapon to save the lives of innocent Muslims".
"The US should be warned that if they continue to kill and support those who kill innocent Muslims, then the US should await a great calamity... or God will strike them directly," he said.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), which is based in Yemen, said it was behind the attack on 25 December 2009.
US investigators have said Abdulmutallab told them he was working for AQAP and had received the bomb from them, as well as training.
MORE ON: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-15278483

Oh well!! This is the end of his story as he'll most ikely be spending the rest of his life behind bars
my question to all these terrorists is
why do you bomb innocent people that know nothing and say you are fighting the government??
I really don't understand.. shame on you Umar for trying to kill 300 people that had absolutely no idea about the killings of your muslim brothers.

HILARITY: Hon Patrick Obahiagbon(a.k.a Igodo Migodo) STRIKES AGAIN!! Reacts To Fuel Subsidy Removal

If you do not know Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon , then you  have missed out from some serious free comedy.. His choice of words are just ridiculous and incredibly hilarious. I am always happy to hear from him though LOL and here he is again with his reaction to the fuel subsidy removal.

yes!!this is how he wears his trousers

I have read with acatalectic disgust, governments asinine and puerile ratiocinations attempting to justiceate the proposed removal of subsidies from petroleum products. It has asseverated that it’s intentions is guided by the need to checkmate the odoriferous excesses of a machiavellian and mephistophelean cabal and I have said to myself, what a shame? What a self indicting admittal of the failure of governance?
What an hocus-pocus?

What an anathematous disdain for it’s citizenry? Must the people now bear the brunt for governments ineptitude, inefficiency and pusillanimity in squaring up with these economic philistines and fat cows? I feel even more nauseated and vexed that the Governors Forum has posthaste conferred an apocalyptic imprimatur on this genie. Let’s not forget that majority of these same Governors had earlier called for this state of affairs as a condition sinequanon for paying the minimum wage.

 What an opprobrium?
What a deprecable descent from the sublime to the ridiculous? It’s up to us all to put this Presidential and Gubernatorial genie back into the bottle but are we prepared?

OH YES BOSS!!
it is indeed a deprecable descent from the sublime to the ridiculous chai and
in short, i am prepared to put this presidential and gubernatorial GENIE back into the bottle.
LOOOOL .. ahn!!ahn!!

my unforgettable quotes from him include:
"in the words of peter pan, i am flabbergasted and overwhelmed"
"they are masturbating in the corridors of power"
what's yours??
*by the way, the only word that had the red error line underneath is DEPRECABLE hmmm*

HOT NEW SONGS: kedike & run dia mouth - chidinma(mtn project fame 2010 winner)

Many months ago, I did a post on what music-related competitions in Nigeria should achieve at the end of each season http://dangeleyez.blogspot.com/2010/09/nigerians-and-music-competitions.html. I will like to say now that after West African idols(that sadly ended after its first season), MTN project fame is doing a great job especially with chidinma(mtn project fame 2010 winner).

After the lovable jankoliko song that was written and produced by Oscar Heman-ackah, she has released two HOT!! HOT!! new songs.. kedike & Run dia mouth and i LOVEEEEE both of them.
They were both written and produced by my two most adored producers in Nigeria.

HOT NEW VIDEO: LOVE ME 3X - TIWA SAVAGE (HOT OR NOT??)

So at first, I was able to view the video yesterday on youtube and the next minute it was private and I could not watch it anymore or do a post on it. Anyways, thanks to notjustok, I can share the video with you guys.

I know we all love Tiwa savage , I love her too and I love the song but I have mixed feelings about this video. Don't worry , it has nothing to do with the way she was dressed. She looks hot IMO.
Please whoever has the contact details of the guy in the video should give it to me as its a marra (matter) of emergency..LOL. The guy is hot!!hot!! :D

Anyways, i feel there is a disconnection between the conversation at the beginning and the entire video .. or maybe i didn't get it *confused face*.
I also don't completely love the part where she is alone with the guy in the scene that's not the bedroom scene. Some kind of disconnection was going on there or maybe a different place would have been better.
I totally love the part where she was walking with her two dancers ...xtreme HOTNESS!! However, I wish they did not have to come to the fence to finish it up..
Also, what exactly was she looking at when she was walking alone. Dont know what that part was about.
Well, I feel the concept of the video isn't great and I don't love it totally.
what do you think?

Blackberry services down in Europe, Middle East and Africa following a server crash

Owners of the smartphones were unable to browse the web, send email or instant messages.
The problem appears to have originated in a datacentre in Slough which handles Blackberry services for the affected regions.
Blackberry UK said it knew about the problem and was "investigating".
In a tweet sent around 14:42 BST, the company said: "Some users in EMEA are experiencing issues."
A subsequent statement said Blackberry was: "working to resolve an issue currently impacting some Blackberry subscribers in Europe Middle East and Africa."
It apologised for the inconvenience that the ongoing problem was causing its customers.
Earlier on 10 October mobile operators in the UK, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar and other nations pointed the finger at Blackberry owner RIM when replying to tweets from customers complaining about the problems.
The first signs of trouble emerged about 11:00 BST but seemed to have escalated with tags about Blackberry and its BBM service trending on Twitter.
The only functioning service on Blackberry seemed to be text messaging, prompting many users to voice their frustration online.
   more on ->   http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-15243892?

so people!! people!! its not the fault of the network you are on (i was quick to blame mine :D ) and your department at the office or school aint messing with the blackberry service either.
Hopefully, they'll resolve the issue soon else we all go back to texting and CALLING our loved ones :D.. that can't be so hard.. *wink* :D
ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD YET BB USERS.. :D calm down

And when we get whatever it is we want and find ourselves in uncomfortable situations or regret what we spent the money on, we say to ourselves
Next time I would……………..(fill in the blank mr./missy, u know what you tell yourself)

However, we know since we cultivated this habit the cycle hasn’t stopped. Some of us may have successfully reduced our impulse to get what we want at any cost, some others still struggling to curtail the habit and the rest, well they just wont stop.

Being a victim of this habit, my efforts to convert myself so far has been futile, well until recently. I have read books and articles from newspapers to magazines on how to rein in from being an impulsive shopper. I have different kinds of budgets, I can even advise my fellow impulsive spenders on how to limit this habit and save or invest (that’s how much of a guru I am on this subject). This is where a ‘follow your own advice’ speech to me would be appropriate.

Whatever the case, even if someone opens up my brain and dumps the smartest ideas on how I can better spend my money, if I don’t make a continuous effort to be more prudent with my spending decisions, I may end up where or doing what I won’t like to fix the consequences of my bad habit.
When I was in school I would spend and spend because I knew if I called my mum to cry about how broke I was she’ll reimburse me asap. I don’t know why but I believe everybody has to find their way of learning and teaching themselves to be who they want to be.
We would definitely need guidance along the way but in the end it’s still up to us to be our own teacher. I also don’t believe in doing things in one way (a one size fits all method….nah…). So to me, it’s ok for people to do ‘try and errors’ till they find out what best works for them. This does not mean practicing try and error for the rest of our lives. We should have some sort of plan where after a certain period; we seek more help from resourceful people so we break the cycles in our lives.

My days of pocket money are over and now that I am working and making my own money, for the past two months, I have been paying off debts.  And I still have one month to go (thank God). At least after this I can enjoy my salary for the first time. I have already laid out my spending plan for the next couple of months since there are some things I want to get own my own. If I spend out of my means I would have to say bye bye to my plans.

But these are things I really want so I am making a huge effort to ‘stick with the script’. I am painfully aware about how it is to spend my own money anyhow. When I feel I am slipping back to old habits remind myself of all my past uncomfortable states. Every month I list all what I know I need for the next month and make a budget (and yes I leave reasonable room for miscellaneousJ). When I am making purchases and an item is not on the list I look away fast. I remember walking through the market sometime ago and looking straight ahead just so I dint see something I would have been drawn to purchase (one of my many tactics and it  works a lot for me).

So considering the fact that I don’t have the time or the money to enrol in a shopaholic anonymous program I am counselling myself. My coaches are my past experiences and my present situation. So I am well aware that if I fail at this, I suffer the repercussions alone and have myself to blame.
