New year resolutions like some people would say never last and if I’m not wrong a handful of us that may be reading this piece have one way or the other shunned or forgotten we made new year resolutions, but rather than make resolutions why not indulge yourselves in habits that will not only make you a better person but also make your daily life more nourishing.
Picking up a NEW SKILL like minor carpentry, knowing how to screw a light bulb or something handy in and around the house is most often than none very essential and for the guys always remember that every young lady out there loves a guy that can get things fixed without having to call a handy man.
READ A BIG GOOD BOOK,I cannot begin to explain or make you understand the importance of reading but reading books of interests like novels, self help books, history books, fiction and non-fiction goes a long way in not only improving your vocabulary but also your perception about life.
You don’t have to have a serious ailment before you see a doctor; regular CHECK UPS cost little or nothing, so why not always stay healthy.
Devote more time to your HOBBIES, cause all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, remember your hobbies are those little activities that you used to do some years back like playing soccer, singing, playing cards, dancing just make out that time to really play.
With the hullabaloo of the recent fuel price subsidy removal, it won’t be out of place to encourage SAVINGS and spending less in the year. Cut down on all those reckless and unwarranted spending that have little or no significance in your life.
And finally a major principle that I feel should be embraced by everyone is learning to live outside your comfort zone do something exciting, visit new places, learn a language. Don’t use your work or daily routine as an excuse. Use your weekends, holidays and leave of absence wisely. BRODEN YOUR HORIZON.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...its learning to dance in the rain.
